Musuhi's name comes from an ancient Japanese word meaning "to bind together and give birth to something new."

Our vision: Where nature, humanity, and technology converge in harmony.
No matter how far technology advances, there are values that can only emerge when people face nature, work with their hands, and speak with one another.
We create a place for that exploration — a place where people can live as truly human beings, even in an age when technology handles labor.

## Why Tsunan — なぜ津南町か

Tsunan Town is located in Japan's heaviest snowfall belt, within the Naeba Sanroku Geopark region. It is one of the few places in Japan where multiple renewable energy sources coexist:

- **Snow Cooling Energy**: Proven 41% electricity reduction vs conventional cooling (2016 Niigata Prefecture verification report). Converts heavy snowfall into a cooling resource for data centers and facilities.
- **Geothermal / Hot Spring Energy**: Volcanic geology of Mt. Naeba area. Binary cycle power generation compatible with onsen (hot spring) operations. 24-hour stable baseload power. Waste heat recyclable for agriculture and bathing facilities.

Tsunan Town is actively exploring the attraction of a **renewable energy-powered data center** integrated with local power generation.

Concept: **Power Plant-Integrated Data Center (発電所一体型データセンター)**

### 01 — Neo Eco-Village (近未来エコビレッジ) [Core / Proposal Stage]
Near-future rural living experience. Microgrid, battery storage, hydrogen systems, off-grid housing, automated snow removal — a testing ground for companies and a living experience for visitors. Also functions as a disaster preparedness hub.

### 02 — Energy, Forest Resources & Data Center (エネルギー・森林資源・データセンター) [Proposal Stage]
Local production and consumption of renewable energy. Snow cooling + geothermal + small hydro + biomass + solar. Power plant-integrated data center attraction. Forest management contributing to disaster prevention, landscape, and CO2 absorption.

### 03 — Health, Welfare & Education (健康・福祉・教育) [Proposal Stage]
Health point system for medical cost optimization and healthy longevity. Retreat business and corporate wellness programs to attract visitors from outside the region.

### 04 — Community App (コミュニティアプリ) [Pilot in Progress]
Digital infrastructure for all projects. Consolidating municipal information, disaster preparedness, events, and health points. Gradually supplementing paper circulars and aging public address systems.

### 05 — Gateway Hub (ゲートウェイ拠点) [Future Vision / 2030~]
A "Michi-no-Eki" (roadside station) concept — the entry point that captures passing traffic and directs visitors to experiences built by Projects 01–04 throughout the town.

## Disaster Resilience — 防災拠点ポテンシャル

A 379-hectare elevated site suitable for multi-functional wide-area disaster preparedness:
- Nuclear plant wide-area evacuation
- Tokyo metropolitan earthquake response
- Flood and heavy snow disaster response
- Peacetime use: natural farming, survival experience, disaster training, forest therapy, stargazing, corporate retreats

## Musuhi Juku — むすひ塾

Monthly community dialogue events where residents discuss the future of Tsunan Town. Open to everyone regardless of age, gender, or background. Topics range from town planning to personal projects and small business creation.

## Approach — 進め方

We do not push grand plans all at once. We start small, accumulate results, build trust, and expand step by step through dialogue with residents and collaboration with government and partners. Surplus is not distributed — outcomes are reinvested into solving regional challenges and funding the next initiative.
